The silver is real: this ring is solid 925 sterling silver, hallmarked. But unlike the rest of our collection, it is finished with a nickel-based plating rather than rhodium.

Why this ring reacts to a magnet: nickel is magnetic — sterling silver is not. If you test this ring with a strong magnet you may feel a slight pull. That comes from the surface plating, not from the silver underneath. The 925 hallmark and the silver content are exactly what we state.
